Big Chill

When Ben was chasing after Kevin when he stole Max Tennyson’s RV Ben used a new alien that can also fly to try and stop him. This alien resembles a earth butterfly and can do more than just fly it can even turn invisible like Ghostfreak and shoot ice like Arctiguana. This new alien he used (which is one of my favorite aliens) is named Big Chill!

Species and Home planet: Big Chills species is called a Necrofriggian and he comes from are two different planets which are named Kylmyys and Mykdl’dy. See images of these planets below:

 

Description (Alien Force and Ultimate Alien): Big Chill can be described as humanoid moth that can fold up his wings and antenna up into a hooded robe, which gives him the appearance of a phantom. When the wings are spread it shows that Big Chill has a blue and black body with cyan patches on his arms, shoulders, legs, the back of his wings, and the back of his neck. These patches resemble ice chunks. Each patch on the body have a thick blue outlining except for the ones on the wings, which are outlined in black. There is also a black line that runs on the edge of the outer margin on the back of each wing. On Big Chill’s light blue torso are three plates, the first one resembling the chest, a shorter plate under the chest, and one resembling the stomach. On Big Chill’s face are blue cheeks, under jaw, a mouth that always shows bluish white teeth, and large green colored eyes with dark green colored spots. The top of Big Chill’s head also sports a blue Y-shaped marking that extends over his scalp. He also has three pointed fingers and a thumb on each hand, two toes on each foot, and a third toe-like extension on his ankles. The Omnitrix symbol is located on his chest. See images below:

 

Big Chill Alien Swarm Description: When Ben used Big Chill in the live action movie Ben 10 Alien Swarm he sort of looked the same except that the color of the spots on his skin are darker, the eyes are a very light green and white color, and his mouth moves when he speaks. See image below:

 

Heroes United Description: When Big Chill appeared in Heroes United he did look the same except that he had a paler color scheme, the patches on his body where no longer symmetrical, and instead of four pointed fingers he had five fingers that are less pointed. See image below:

 

Omniverse Description: In Omniverse when Big Chill was used by 15-year-old Ben, Big Chill did look exactly the same as 16-year-old Ben’s Big Chill (which is much more muscular build and such), but he lacked the belt and the Omnitrix symbol was located (as always) on his chest. When used by 16-year-old Ben in Omniverse, Big Chill’s body appeared to be much more muscular build than usual and he’s more hunched over like a hunchback. The eyebrows surrounding his eyes are now larger and his ears are now sharper. His wings and claws are now a lot bigger than they use to be. He also has what appears to be black beard design under his chin. Also the New Omnitrix symbol is located on a green and white belt around his waist. See image below:

 

Ben 23 as Big Chill Description: When Ben 23 used his version of Big Chill (which he calls Freezeghost), his did look the same as Ben’s except coloring scheme is deferent, the wings and antennae are a lighter blue, the chest is the same color as the wings, the belt is white with thin gold straps surrounding it and the Dimension 23 Omnitrix symbol is in the middle. Also the neck and head are white with specs of the same colored blue. Plus the eyes are light blue instead of green. See image below:

 

Albedo as Big Chill Description: When Aldebo used his version of Big Chill in Alien Force; his looked exactly the same as Ben’s. When Aldedo used Big Chill again in Ultimate Alien, his still looked the same but the eyes are red instead of green and there’s no Ultimatrix symbol on the chest. When Albedo used Big Chill once again in Omniverse, his did look the same as Ben’s except that the color scheme is pale, the belt around his waist is red and white instead of green and white, and the still the eyes are red instead of green. Also the New Ultimatrix symbol is red instead of green. See images below:

 

Special Abilities: The first ability of Big Chill is he’s able to breath out a gas, wind, beam, or vapor that is shown to reduce the temperature surrounding it, creating ice constructs mid air or upon touching a target, or encasing any of his targets completely in ice. His second ability shows that he can generate ice beams from his hands that he can manipulate as see in the episode Singlehanded. His third ability shows that he’s also capable of generating spiked balls of ice around his fists, as well as hurling ice spikes and can even cause these spikes to sprout from the ground that surrounds him. These abilities where seen in the episode Above and Beyond and in the Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks video game. His fourth ability shows that his breath can also be as strong as wind, enough to push the moving Rust Bucket off a cliff, as seen in the episode Kevin’s Big Score. Big Chill’s body is shown to contain density-altering protoplasm that allows him to use this fifth ability, which is known as intangibility (meaning that can go through solid objects like a ghost). He uses it to the point where he can cause objects to freeze by phasing through them, though he can choose not to. In the episode Birds of a Feather, Big Chill demonstrated his sixth ability by freezing a large gate by touching it, allowing Simian to easily kick it down. Big Chill does also have enhanced strength which is his seventh ability: In the episode, Save the Last Dance, when Ben was using Big Chill he displayed some kind strange animal behavior, like eating metal for example. He went on some kind of metal-eating spree; he effortlessly ripped apart a large metal statue and snapped iron girders in half. This strength is able to help extend his jaws, as Big Chill demonstrated this when he chewed up metal statues, poles, buildings, signs, iron girders, serving trays, and drinking molten steel. The eighth and ninth abilities show that although Big Chill is completely immune to extreme subzero temperatures he demonstrated that he’s capable of resisting extreme heat temperatures as well. Plus Gwen, Kevin, and Julie found out why Big Chill was acting strange it was because he was taken over by reproduction instincts and he revealed to have 14 baby Big Chills. In the video game Cosmic Destruction, Big Chill revealed his tenth ability where he can attack with an “icy uppercut,” as well as manipulate the cold around him to make a frosty tornado. It was revealed in episode Deep, that Big Chill’s eleventh ability shows that he can survive underwater. Big Chill’s twelfth ability also shows that he can even survive in the vacuum of space as well. His final ability shows that just like Jetray, Big Chill can even use his feet to hold people and objects while he’s flying. See images below:

 

Weaknesses: The first weakness of  Big Chill is that when he’s fighting in the field his intangibility is useless against opponents who can also turn intangible. This makes the intangibility power cancel out. The only known inanimate objects that have proven to physically contact Big Chill when he’s intangible are the Rust Bucket’s netting, Vilgax’s gold glove known as the Shield of Ziegel (Vilgax did also used it shock Big Chill while he was intangible Big Chill in the episode Vengeance of Vilgax: Part 2), the defense systems of the Techadon Robots (plus the robots themselves) from the planet Techadon, and the new systems installed into a plumber prison cell. The second weakness shows that if Big Chill is caught off guard then that means that he won’t have enough time to use intangibility. This does mean Big Chill uses his intangibility consciously, but he can’t use it reflexively. His third weakness is electricity because it can harm him while he’s intangible and plus his wings are weak against electricity just like Ultimate Big Chill. This weakness was demonstrated in the episode Good Copy Bad Copy when Ben used Brainstorm’s powers against Albedo as Big Chill. Big Chill’s final weakness shows that his ice breath power is useless against Hypnotick and other Psycholeopterran species (Hypnotick is Big Chill’s natural predator). See images below:
